Summary: Written for the just_kiss_her kink meme. The prompt was “Phone sex. Bonus if it's on a secure channel when Becker's out in the field.” by taraljc.
Warnings: not beta-readAuthor notes: I’m not doing smut. Really, I’m not. I never have, and I certainly never will. Not really, anyway. However, this might be the closest to actual smut I’ve ever written and I blame it on taraljc and the kink meme. I never wanted to do this. But my muse wanted to. :)
“This might take a little longer,” she heard
Now they had to cancel it.
“We can’t take the risk of the creatures escaping,”
Of course, they couldn’t. She knew it just like everyone else did. But weren’t his soldiers capable of taking care of the situation on their own, without him?
It was ridiculous how, since the day she’d started working here, anomalies and dinosaurs – two things she would never have guessed existed in this century – were messing up her life. Completely.
This time, it hadn’t been hard to lock the anomaly. But the school building it had opened in was now flooded with a number of Diictodons which – even in Jess’s opinion – were cute. But still she didn’t like them one bit, basically because they had managed to ruin her evening.
Sighing, Jess grabbed her phone and texted Becker. Then she excused herself, taking her earpiece with her. If she wasn’t allowed to see him tonight, she at least wanted to talk to him for a few minutes.
No one seemed to notice that she took the earpiece with her to the rest room. Or maybe no one minded.
Becker felt his phone vibrate and picked it up. He smiled at the simple message from Jess, knowing what the numbers meant.
Disappearing in one of the class rooms to ‘see if it was clear’, he changed the channel. “Hey,” he greeted in a low voice.
“Hey,” Jess replied with a sigh. “So, I guess this means you’re not going to make it tonight.”
He swore silently as he sat down on one of the chairs. “I’m sorry, Jess,” he mumbled.
“It’s okay,” she assured him, but wasn’t able to keep the disappointment out of her voice.
“I swear, I will make up for that,” he promised. “I don’t want to be one of the guys who frequently cancels dates because work got in the way.”
She chuckled softly. “Becker, I know that your work got in the way. And I’m not mad at you or anything. It’s just…”
He waited almost a minute for her to finish the sentence. But she didn’t. “It’s just what, Jess?” he softly pressed her.
“Well… I… um…” she stuttered.
He couldn’t help but smile to himself. “Did you just blush?”
How could he tell? He was a bloody mind-reader when it came to her. “Yeah,” she admitted, knowing that denying was pointless. It would only encourage him to tease her more. “You know, this… would have been our third date…”
He frowned. “And?” he asked, not sure he really knew what she was referring to.
“Well, I…” she stuttered again. Damn it, Jess, get a grip! Did he really not know what she was talking about? “I was planning on asking you to stay tonight,” she told him, her voice barely above a whisper.
It took a few seconds before her words sunk in and it dawned upon him what she wanted to tell him – and why she seemed so disappointed their date had to be cancelled. He couldn’t help but smirk at that. She had really planned on ending the night in her bed. She really wanted to… And it wasn’t going to happen.
A low growl escaped his throat before he was able to stop it.
“Yeah,” she just whispered.
His mind slowly came back from the x-rated visions of Jess her statement had planted into it, and suddenly he realized that he had never in a million years expected her to plan this for tonight. She had been the one who was incredibly hesitant about them dating. She hadn’t even kissed him after their first date, not really anyway, just on the cheek. And she had wanted to have sex tonight?
“Um… You know that I… didn’t expect you to do this, don’t you?” he carefully asked. “I mean, sod what people say is supposed to happen on third dates, I would have never…”
“I know,” she softly interrupted him. “But I… I really wanted this evening to end like that. I mean, I… I’ve just been waiting for this for, well, pretty much forever and…”
“And I can’t tell you how sorry I am that I’m stuck here with a bunch of Diictodons and a number of soldiers instead of spending this evening with you,” Becker told her. “I’d love to finally find out what you like.”
His words made her heart beat faster, and she couldn’t think straight anymore. Her mind didn’t seem to work properly whenever he was near – and apparently, he had the same effect on her over the comm.
“You know, the first time you kissed me I found out that my lips are very sensitive, at least when you touch them,” she whispered.
“I’d love to let my fingertips run over your lips now,” he whispered into the comm as his eyes fluttered shut. “They’re so soft, so sweet…”
“Becker,” Jess gasped. “We… We can’t…” But she couldn’t deny the effect his words had on her, nor could she stop her fingers from doing exactly what he described.
This was crazy, especially for a first time. But Becker couldn’t stop himself, and he couldn’t deny that he was aroused to no end by just her voice.
She shivered as her fingers moved over her lips. God, she wished this really was Becker’s hand. She had dreamed about him touching her so often, and she couldn’t wait for it to finally happen.
“You know, I always wondered if your breasts are as soft as the rest of your skin,” he mumbled.
“Actually, they are quite… hard right now,” she panted.
This drew another low growl from somewhere deep in his throat.
“I know something else that is pretty hard right now,” he told her, causing Jess to giggle. He couldn’t help but wonder if he could make her giggle in bed. It was the most arousing sound he had ever heard – and he knew that after this experience, he would have severe problems whenever he heard her giggle again.
“I often wondered if your skin smelled of guns, too,” she whispered. “And I… I would love to find out what you taste like.”
“God, Jess, you have no idea how often I’ve been dreaming about you touching me like this,” he panted rather than said. “How often I’ve been dreaming about making you scream my name…” If only he could be there and actually touch her – and let her touch him.
He heard her whimper, and her breathing became unsteady, and he couldn’t help imagining how she would look like at the moment, lying on the couch in the rest room, pleasing herself. The image was enough to blow all rational thought from his mind.
“Becker?” he heard Abby’s voice call from the corridor. “Becker, are you in there?”
“Shit,” he whispered, hurrying to straighten his uniform.
“Oh, God, I… I need to… get back,” Jess said, sounding nervous, even scared. “What have we done?”
“What we should have been doing right now,” Becker told her.
Her breath hitched. She sounded like she was about to panic. “We shouldn’t have…”
“Jess, relax, no one will find out,” he tried to calm her down.
“Oh, well, maybe they can’t tell by looking at you, but…” Jess struggled to rearrange her clothes and makeup. Becker could hear her search her purse.
“I love you, Jess,” he told her.
She stopped in the middle of her movement. Smiling, she replied, “I love you, too.”
“And I’m sorry I can’t be there with you,” he added. “I can’t wait to… actually do what we just discussed.”
She blushed, and she was sure he knew it. “Yeah, I can’t wait for you to come back. Just be careful.”
“Becker, what the hell…” she heard Abby’s voice in the background.
“There’re no Diictodons in here,” Becker hurried to tell her, giving her a smile.
Abby eyed him up. “And it took you twenty minutes to figure that out?”
“I had to search all the boards,” he replied with a shrug, pointing towards a number of boards in the back of the classroom.
Abby raised an eyebrow at him, but decided to let it go. Maybe she could get Jess to talk later. She was sure he had walked off to talk to her. “Get your butt back and help us with the rooms where there actually are Diictodons,” she told him instead.
“When did you take charge?” Becker grumbled.
“When you decided to let your mind get otherwise engaged,” Abby said, grinning at him. “Say hello to Jess.”
He just grumbled something when he watched Abby walk out the door. He felt much too good, much too happy to get angry with anyone right now.
“Jess,” he whispered into his comm.
“Yeah?” she replied in a low voice. He smirked. “Thank you for the best third date I’ve ever had.”
